I got the quote I asked for from a local embroidery place that advertises a lot down here. I sent the original Logo, the circle logo and the website logo before the present one. The quote was $50 set up charge per logo but we can get a break if we get all three done- $75.
They have a wide variety of shirts and hats and jackets (colors, quality, and styles). Prices are a little on the higher side but fair I think. I buy shirts for work with our company logo on them and pay more than these would be. I haven't asked if we could supply our own shirts same as MCC does. They have to calculate the stitch count for each logo but they estimated $9 - $12 per logo plus the cost of the apparel. I'll bring it up in the next newsletter and at the Sept. meeting. Is anyone on here interested in getting something with one of these logos on it?

Looking at the new "billboard" logo, I think the "Corvair Club" text should fill the open space a bit more. It looks kind of small in comparison to the "Capital City" text.
Just an observation and my opinion, not trying to make waves...

I would be very interested in a jacket or something. When will you know our options and pricing? I'm guessing over $30? Are these really stitched, or screen printed? Single color or multi?

After the Autorama show at George & Jackie's for the picnic I brought up that Logo ideas and asked if anyone was interested in getting any "Corvair Wear" with one of the three logos. I didn't get an enthusiastic response but some of those in attendance were indeed interested and would like to see the logos on something (hat, shirt, jacket, etc.). I plan to pursue it and do a piece for the newsletter. At this point the car season is about done except for the 50th B-Day party Oct. 3 and maybe the fall tours that both clubs are planning separately. I plan to go ahead and pay the $75 to have the logos "set-up digitally for the embroidery and get a few articles for Janet and me in order to have something to look at. I have not worked out any details other than ask for the general quotes, but it does sound like a reasonable price for CCCC Corvair Wear.

Larr, i am very interested in getting a jacket to start. Maybe a shirt next year for the convention.

I'm guessing these wouldn't be done in time for the 50th? What you think the turn-around will be?

Also, which logos are you getting set-up?

They charge $50 per design but said they would do all three at once for $75. I will take them up and that deal. That way everyone can have their choice. The charge per design on a shirt is around $9 - $12 and they have a whole catalog of different shirts, jackets and hats to chose from in many price ranges. I've seen their stuff, it's very high quality in my opinion.

Hey Curtis,
I have a new source for embroidery who is my brother's nephew. I talked to him about trying the new logos on a couple things and he will give me a good deal. The logos have been removed from the post you left me in this topic and I can not find where I may have saved a copy. Can you send them to meagain so I can forward them?

What's the news on the merchandise? Can't wait to see how it comes out. Are they screen print or stitch? Oh, and of course you have to model them. None of this taking a pic of the shirt on a table or something...
