    Installing Rear Seat Belts

    Installing Rear Seat Belts

    Postby UnklLarrVair » Thu Mar 19, 2009 11:17 pm

Hey guys, I want to install my new rear seatbelts in the '64 this weekend. Curtis mentioned having a template or measurements for the proper locations for the mounting holes? Can I get that info from you?
Besides that does anyone have a picture of the original emblems on 1964 seat belts?

Sure! Here it is. It's actually the 62-64 PDF.

I have deluxe front seat belts in mine, did you want that or the standard ones?

    Perfect!! Thanks Curtis! :)

As for the emblems, I'm not sure what I should look for for my belts. It's a 64 monza. :?

    NP!

I'll take some photos of mine and you can compare. On your body tag it should tell you (in code, which can be decoded on our site) if they were standard, deluxe, or deluxe with retractors. Post your body tag codes so we can take a look.

Sorry, meant to get these posted last night.

I'm pretty sure these are what you're looking for. If not, let me know.

Mine are original to the car and, as you will see, very used and banged up. I'm thinking of biting the bullet and getting new ones for the front as well, but like the deluxe.

    Thanks Guys!

Now I need to search for the bow tie emblems to dress mine up! I wonder if anyone will have them at Jefferson?
Hey? Are you guys planning on coming to Jefferson on the 26th? The feature car for the car show is "the year 69" and Everette get them a picture of him and Darlene in a 69 Monza coupe they once owned for the dash plaque they will be giving all the show cars. Everette has arranged an area just for our cars in the show! Check out- http://www.madisonclassics.com/ .
We plan to be back from our trip to show one of the cars.

Sorry, not going to make it out to the show. I do need to get there one of these years, but have heard negative weather stories about the Jefferson Spring show that makes me not want to take my car. Like getting stuck in mud and getting towed out by a tractor.

I think my first show of the season will be the PLBC.
