Welcome to the Capital City Corvair Club!

A Little History
The Capital City Corvair Club, Ltd. (CCCC) of Madison, Wisconsin was formed in 1963 when new Corvairs were still rolling off the assembly line.  Today we are a club of over 40 dedicated Corvair enthusiasts, including several Ed Cole trophy winners.

About the CCCC

Monthly Meetings
The CCCC meets on the second Tuesday of each month.  Meetings usually start at 7pm.  The location of the meeting changes each month, and is listed in our month newsletter - The Exhaust.

 

Yearly Dues
Dues are $18.00 a year.  New members can join at any time durring the year.  See the current club President for more details.

CORSA International

The Capital City Corvair Club is a local Chapter of CORSA (Corvair Society of America).  CORSA is an International Corvair organization dedicated to joining together Corvair clubs and enthusiasts from all over the world.

    TBI Phase II (Dual Throttle Bodies)

    We join Ted on "Phase II" of the project.  For more information, inculding Phases 1 & 3, CLICK HERE.

    Dual Throttle bodies were added with 2" adapter plates.  The Carb bolts had to be removed, but was a straight on bolt-on.  Linkage is now controlled by cable to the transmission rod.

    Replacement Throttle Linkage for Most Corvairs

    I have just finished the final prototype of my new throttle linkage. I got tired of all the sloppiness and the binding in the original throttle linkage. So I came up with this version. After putting this on I had to relearn the gas pedal response because the system moves so easily. I use to have two return springs on the cross shaft but now I only need one.     Easy Upgrade to Baffle Door Hinge 

    During the re-assembly of my baffle door I found that while putting the stock hinge clip back on that I worked the metal back and fourth enough times that I snapped the metal making it un-usable. Not having a spare around I had to get crafty with what I had. After much thought I realized that during the warmer months some people take off the entire tin assembly to help keep their engine cool I thought that just being able to take just the door off would be less of a head ache so I…
